Before you leave the house do me a favour and check that: 1. Youre wearing enough clothes, Eirtakon is a child friendly convention and we like to think we make everyone feel welcome. If you dont think youd wear your outfit in front of your granddad, then maybe you need another layer. I hate having to make people whove obviously worked so hard on their cosplay add clothes, but sometimes its necessary. 2. Your prop isnt dangerous. If it cant be carried through a door, or needs two people to carry it, chances are it probably should have been left at home. The other day someone started a thread saying they would be bringing a real crowbar since they couldnt find a prop one. Please dont do this. Bringing what could reasonably be considered a weapon into the convention is a terrible, terrible idea and may result in you being asked to leave. 3. Youre wearing shoes. Simple. 4. If youre planning on queuing either tonight or tomorrow morning, wear layers, its fecking chilly out there. You could be queuing for over an hour in late November in Ireland. Wrap up warm folks!
