Hi All, Im posting this because I have received so many good wishes and queries about Pearl that I do not have time to reply to them all. Essentially Pearl has been in Hospital for 9 days now and despite the teams of Doctors and Nurses caring for her they havent yet come to a definitive diagnosis or course of treatment. Her symptoms are a suddenly appearing lump on the breastbone which they think is benign but which is causing swelling of her upper body and giving her difficulty breathing and a shadow on the upper part of one of her lungs which we have been told is cancer but what kind and whether it is isolated or spread from somewhere else is not yet known. Pearls bearing up well but feels that she needs to have the swelling reduced to be made more comfortable and that the cancer is something she can deal with after that. I want to thank everybody who has expressed concern and apologise for not responding but as Im sure you will understand that I am under some stress myself if I dont respond directly. Please dont stop talking to us, your messages have both moved us and given us heart.
