Hi All Just a quick update on The North Face 100 km this week end. After being in leading position, playing in 1 to 2st place till the 54km mark, Jorge Maravilla ( Salomon USA) faced stiff competition from one of the strongest Aussie fields this race has ever seen, with a number of interstate guns and local heroes. He finishes in 7th place. Still a great result as Jorge was fresh off the plane and never ran the course before… Beth Cardelli ( Salomon Australia ) in the women unfortunately did not start and Spanish runner Nuria Picas established a new course record for the event ( the record was previously held by Beth). But Salomon still makes the podium - We got 1st place in the 50km event with Matt Cooper ( Salomon/Suunto Australia) taking the lead, and finishing 25mn ahead of second runner. A great performance!
