Hi All, Thank you all so much for all the lovely messages. Sorry I havent got time to click a like to them all so heres a bulk message to you. I came back home last night, I could still see the fire burning at Bald Hill but the wonderful CFA had it surrounded, it will burn for some time Ive been told. Blackhill went up as well which was close to me. My street didnt have any fires even though there were 16 around my area, my admin friend who posted the news last night lives in NSW & thought it was in my street but thankfully not. Its so dry up here that an ember could land anywhere like they did so I loaded up my car with stuff I had ready and took myself to Trish (from Four Paws K9 Training) & Stewart Harriss home with my 3 dogs, they live 5 mins from me, we all sat in the front of her property watching the water bombers and fire trucks driving up their road along with earth moving equipment. What amazing people they are all to go and fight these fires to save our homes and lives, they arent thanked enough and deserve to be a lot more than they are. Many people headed into town with horse floats & pets. I came home late and left the car loaded just in case I had to head off again. The rain came late last night but we all wish it had been more, hopefully we will have more soon without the lightning which is what started these fires. Lindas was safe, she doesnt live in such a fire danger area as me so Im glad Ive only got my 3 dogs to worry about. We would be able to evacuate all the dogs from Lindas if she ever was under threat but she hasnt got the bush around her like we have where I live, that still doesnt mean it couldnt effect her though.
