Hi All!! Today we are diffusing a synergy of May Chang, Grapefruit & Cedarwood virginian. Its a lovely fruity & woody aroma that helps promote feelings of relaxation and positivity!! May Chang (Litsea cubeba) is recommended for stress, anxiety, depression and tension because it has uplifting & antidepressant properties. It can also be used for acne, oily skin and excessive perspiration because it has astringent & antiseptic properties. Use May Chang for excessive gas, indigestion, nausea, lack of appetite, asthma, bronchitis, colds/flu, helps with lacation issues as May Chang stimulates milk production and is an insect repellant. May Chang could irritate sensitive skin so patch test first, use in small dilutions and not for children under 2 years old. Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) is a lymphatic stimulant so can help address fluid retention & cellulite. It can also help treat oily skin and acne, and has a tonic effect on the scalp and skin. Grapefruit has a uplifting and reviving effect so can be a good choice for helping to treat stress, depression, lethargy and nervous exhaustion. Grapefruit can be a good option to help treat low self-esteem, comfort eating in times of stress and feelings of tension and unease. Grapefruit can be used to help treat an overheated liver e.g. irritability, nausea, constipation and abdominal distention. Be mindful not to use on the skin if you are going into direct sunlight due to its phototoxic properties. Cedarwood Virginian (Juniperus virginiana) is antiseptic, aphrodisiac, anti-seborrhoeic, astringent, cicatrisant, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, insecticide and sedative. Cedarwood Virginian can be used to treat oily skin, acne, eczema, dandruff and seborrhoea. It is also a soothing and grounding oil to use when treating anxiety, nervous tension and insomnia. A strong diuretic, Cedarwood Virginian is useful for treating cystitis and urinary tract infections, cellulite, fluid retention and catarrhal conditions. Do not use during pregnancy. Have a fragrant day everyone Becky & Michelle :)
