Hi All. We still do not have Remi at home! We checked the trap - TopicsExpress

Hi All. We still do not have Remi at home! We checked the trap several times during the night and nothing. Where the trap is set, is where she was seen yesterday afternoon. We got a call at 9am this morning and the lady said that she had our dog on her property, but could not get close. She gave her blankets in her barn and fed her. Remi spent the night in a rickety old barn, safe and dry. The nice lady walked about a mile and back to get one of our flyers that we had posted at Morris Farms Rd and Wendover Ave. since she couldnt get her car out. Kimberly and Laura(our daughters) took our Jeep back there to her farm and Remi was still in the barn(which has no doors). They tried to surround her and approached her low and quietly. She looked at them, turned and ran thru the woods, over a stream and across WENDOVER!!! We are leaving her alone now and hoping that she will return to the barn and the food. This lady will check the barn and keep an eye out for her (She is a saint!!!) We can just pray that we will get another chance like this. The girls said that she looked healthy and dry. We have about three inches of snow, ice and slush on the ground. The roads are horrible, but hopefully on their way to melting. Now we have to worry about the traffic again. We thought that she was on the backside of the development away from the heavy traffic, but then what do we know! We have our gate open and our porch door open in case she heads this way. Please stay home and safe. We dont want anyone risking their lives out there today. We will probably try to move the trap today over to this womans property. So, thats the latest. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers for Remi. Please keep them coming. Thank you! Pat and family
