Hi All-Went to the surgeon on Thursday for another progress report. He doesnt know why I am still battling swelling in my fingers and wrist. He thinks I should be further along in my progress. I asked if it could be because I had to go back to work so soon instead of being at home elevating and icing it down. Since it is workmans comp,of course he said it wouldnt make any difference. In fact he said going back sooner wouldve helped with gradual movement. He must have forgot I wasnt supposed to put pressure on fingers and wrist for a few weeks. He gave me a C for progress and said if I dont make a bigger jump in the next 4 weeks, my chances for full range of motion will slim down. Best is early. Its been since March 3rd. I dont know if its a scare tactic so the company can be done with me or if he really has my best interest. With other things that have happened due to dealing with company, I dont trust any of them to have my best interest. I like my therapist and think hes been stretching and bending me pretty good. Teary eyed at times during but I know it needs to be done to improve. Dont want to be a sissy girl. So now instead of 2X a week, I will go 3X a week. So yay I get to spend more time with my therapist. We try to keep the mood light but get job done. Im surprised hoe good my hand/wrist feels after therapy. No pain, but a few hours later everything gets stiff again. Oh well. I got happy the other day when I had 2 small wrinkles on top of wrist/hand when pushing my hand back. The only time for a woman to be excited about wrinkles. Enough of that. On a happier note, Ive gotten tickets for Toby Keith concert. Yay! I dont like alot of country but I love him.
