Hi All, here is a short update. When our bid failed in the last - TopicsExpress

Hi All, here is a short update. When our bid failed in the last submission the NAS stated very quickly that they would re-submit at the next opportunity, which is October. We have not been able to get any information from the DfE about why our bid did not succeed. Ben Gummerss office is now making enquiries on our behalf (thank you Gillian Tate) and we hope that approach will be successful. A new development is that Regional Schools Commissioners have been appointed. There are 8 regions and 8 Commissioners, and Dr Tim Coulson is the RSC for our region. They will be involved in the selection and approval of free schools. We are attempting to arrange a meeting with Dr Coulson so we can explain why our bid is absolutely necessary, but dont have a date so far. We have a project meeting scheduled in Ipswich for 8th October of all the partners in the bid (NAS, SCC and lead parents) to consider our position and plan the next steps. I will post again as soon as there is more news. Please keep supporting the bid because this school is still greatly needed.
