Hi All, just thought it was important the share the positive impacts the Facebook page and more importantly the searches have had in the search for Derek. Starting the search has managed to create a greater awareness of Dereks disappearance to the people of Grantham, Grantham Journal, the mayor and the police who have all been very supportive! We managed to flyer a huge part of Grantham town centre and there are now posters all in most of the shops on the high street. We have also given flyers to a lot of taxi drivers (shame on the one who refused to even speak to us) and bus drivers. We also generated 4 potential leads that were reported to the police. We have searched a lot of the centre of town ( as in all the nooks and crannys) as well as the riverside, we had a group offer to check Windam park also. All round Asda has been checked and fabric warehouse. We ideally need Dysart and Queen Elizabeth park checking still. The sharing of the page and the awareness we have created is amazing but the volunteers for the searchs are what we really need to help make the biggest impact!! I think everyone should be proud of the community spirit that had been shown so far!!
