The week before Christmas in rescue is one of our most stressful times. Christmas can be so wonderful .. but not for many animals. So many seem to need rehoming prior to Christmas. This week we have had emails for so many surrenders we have been crushed by the weight of being unable to help. Most of our fellow rescues are full to overflowing and cant help in their areas either. Being unable to help and having nowhere else to direct enquiries, means we are spending this week worrying about all those we cant help. Its a horrible feeling. On the flip side, we are SO grateful to the many carers and adopters who mean hundreds of animals are currently safe. We pray for many happily-ever-afters and we thrive on them when they happen.
