Hi Benefit friends, hope everyone is starting off their weekend in good spirits! Here is an update on the volunteer meeting yesterday. As usual any questions or concerns contact myself 719.551.9349 or Julie 719.994.3138. Set-up & Tear down: Please be there at 10A.M day of the benefit & expect to stay until around 7P.M!!! Children: We want to do a bouncy house, if that doesnt work out I have just asked a relative who was unable to attend the meeting to come up with games for the kids, we can get prizes and the games will be .50-$1.00 to play. So this is a pending idea on the bouncy house do to insurance reasons. At the meeting we talked about face painting, so that is an idea we can go with as well. KimVitelli will be looking into games. Sale: The rummage sale is coming together Debbi & Clarianne will be the ladies running this. Food: Julia & I went to Quijotes but they were super busy, we will see what they can do for maybe 100-150 servings at an inexpensive price and then Teresa and ladies from her church will also be helping with this. *Anyone wanting to donate food please do so, call myself or Julie with questions. Door cashier: Art Gallegos & Carlos Garcia will help at the door, they are mine and Julies other half’s. Raffle & Silent Auction: Julie and I will run these events. *Donations will be excepted until June 20,2014. Bake sale: We will need a volunteer running the bake sale table, this will be at an extra charge not in the $5/door fee or the $5 plate fee. *Donations are wanted, please contact myself or Julie. T-Shirt booth: We will also need someone to manage the t-shirt sales. Music: Audrey Garcia will be our DJ for the benefit, Richard Ornelas is looking into a noise ordinance to see if we can set up music outside as well. Car club: We will be looking into a car club coming out and showing support. I wont put their name out. :) Entertainment: Besides music and karaoke we will look into having more entertainment, any ideas are welcome and singers please contact Julie or myself! Trash & Cleaning tables: We are hoping some of our teen/children volunteers will help with this. Donations excepted: Paper plates, utensils, napkins, yellow and black table clothes, cups, trash bags, serving spoons, food, drinks, baked goods, raffle items, rummage sale items, as well as your time and prayers!!! -Desiree
