Hi, Can anyone please help me to solve the problem? I am trying to install Hadoop 2.5.0 in Ubuntu 14.04 in Local standalone mode for learning purpose. I completed all the steps and after starting start-dfs.sh and start-yarn.sh, I checked with jps command and found all the services (Namenode, Sec. namenode, data node, resource manager, node manager) running properly, then I copied the .xml files into input folder. Now when I am testing the jar by the command: bin/hadoop jar share/hadoop/mapreduce/hadoop-mapreduce-examples-2.5.0.jar grep input output dfs[a-z.]+ It throws below message: org.apache.hadoop.mapreduce.lib.input.InvalidInputException: Input path does not exist: hdfs://localhost:9000/user/hadoop/input Could you please tell me what is the problem here??
