Hi Everyone, Exciting message out on the BC Food Systems Network listserv. Please provide potential feedback on possible venues to David: Dear Network, The board of the BC Food Systems Network has given its go-ahead to early planning for the 2015 Gathering and so the Gathering Working Group is getting to work on this. We are looking at holding this Gathering in the north of the province, where north means somewhere in the area of Prince George, or heading westward out highway 16 towards Terrace or northeast up highway 97 towards Dawson Creek. Please reply back to me if you know of a venue that might suit us, according to the following rough criteria: • Can accommodate approx. 100 people in some combination of cabins, rooms, tents, etc. • Can feed that many people; • Has one large meeting room and several smaller ones for workshops; • Is not terrifically expensive; • Preferably somewhat isolated, although in a place with a happening local food scene if possible; • Would be nice if we can take over the kitchen to some extent. If you can think of a location that might work, please let me know. Were hoping to nail this down as soon as we can and start working with partners and friends in that part of the province to plan a great Gathering for 2015. Also, if you would like to be part of the team planning the 2015 Gathering, let me know.
