Hi FDD Year 2 Avis, myself and William have finished judging the selection of finalists to go through to the presentation stages of the LDNY project. I would like to say as your Course Leader how proud I am of you all for your engagement in this unit. Avis was very pleased at the overall standard and professionalism of your approaches. So without further ado...........READ THIS CAREFULLY! there will need to be a few alterations following our discussions for some of you as listed below Against your name where applicable. The presentations will take place on Monday 23rd, in RHS centre space. THE PRESENTATIONS WILL BE TAKING PLACE 2 PM-5.30 PM YOU WILL ALL NEED TO ASSEMBLE OUTSIDE RHS IN THE CORRIDOR AT 1PM TO RUN THROUGH THE SCHEDULE AND PREPARE. DO NOT BE LATE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! I will also be running through the week schedule with you for working with the artisans afterward for those selected to go forward to the show afterward. You ALL will need to bring - A full coloured up range plan print out A3 - A black and white line range plan print out A3 - 2 pages of conceptual imagery that sum up your approach print out A3 - all of the above on a memory stick for presenting - FORMAT APPROPRIATELY! - your garments in garment bags - your styled photograph of the garment print out the finalists.......... MENSWEAR Ayesha Fneer Georgia Clark Josh Tsuchino - needs to made more clear as to artisan application Joe Standish Vilde Sorum - refinement of pleated bolero top. include jersey version of asym shirt. Linette Moses Alicia Benjamin - refinement of placement and scale of stitching Effie Osuji - change range balance to include pin distort pique polos and color scheme of accent colours. it was felt that earlier work was more successful. Seong Ah Amy Cho - colour placement print needs to be angular rather than mark making. include oversized T in range that features print from sketchbook of circular black london skyline with colour burst lines coming out of it. Change half the skyline circle to include NYC skyline. WOMENSWEAR Noor Raees - needs to add highlight colouring in artisan application, too grey Andrew KO Martina Milana - development of own artisan weave pattern Azalea marzuki - Bong Angel Margaret - needs to made more clear as to artisan application Zoe Perera - needs to made more clear as to artisan application Elizabeth Choi Lydia Watkins - needs to made more clear as to artisan application Wing Yan Sze Deborah Tobi - needs to made more clear as to artisan application Nitya Kishore Sher Fyonn Chua - change plaited rope belt to something more sophisticated. consider multifunctional elements as to how it can be worn! Nayana Kodesia Angelita Johnston - take jean patch pocket off and dye whole garment black. hopefully this will allow both elements to sit together better. Add patch pocket back on. Katie Bendal - remove jacket, pom poms as a scarf styled piece. Embroidery on one colour of lips on legging print. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ABOVE - you will have the weekend after feedback and garment pick up to make alterations to your portfolio and/or garments. REMEMBER this is an amazing opportunity for your future so it is VITAL you do your best and follow the above guidance. We need the following people to model the garments, the presentations will be structured in a way that allows you to present also.
