Hi Fellow Kyidom Mma members, I received this email from the medical officer in-charge of the clinic at Pepease. Please read further since it is good news and also what more we can do to improve on the clinic. We are the second best Poly clinic in Eastern Region (2013) (2) From:David Mensah To: Kwasi S. Asae June 6, 2014 Hello, Greetings to you all. I hope all is well with you. Pepease Health centre attained forty years in February 2014. A lot has happened within this forty years in the history of the institution. We were rated as the second best Polyclinic in Eastern Region for the year 2013 even though we are not yet a polyclinic. This could not have been achieved without your efforts. We salute you all and dedicate it to you immense efforts. As the saying goes, getting to the top is not the problem but rather the maintenance of the standards. This calls for continuous improvement in the quality of our service delivery. In light of he above we will not forget your contribution towards the procurement of a water reservoir for the clinic and the procurement of a computer set for the facility. It is worthy to note that by the grace of God, we now have a borehole sunk at the clinic and hence the problem of water supply is almost coming to an end. Currently, however, the clinic is faced with several challenges. Notably among them are: 1.) The absence of a descent toilet facility to serve the clients who visit the clinic 2.) The absence of a stand-by generator set to ensure continuous delivery of power to effect quality healthcare delivery to the clients. 3.) Inadequate ward space to detain and observe patients who require monitoring 4.) Inadequate staff accommodation facilities 5.) Lack of basic equipment such as ultrasound scan machine, hemoglobin auto-analyzer, suction machine etc. to deliver quality health care that befits our status as an institution. 6.) Lack of a vehicle for use at the clinic and for outreach programs to the surrounding villages like Nkwantanang, Sempoa, Hyewohoden, etc. It is our prayer that we will get help from somewhere to enable us overcome the challenges enumerated. Best regards to you all. David Mensah, Pepease health Centre. Reply, Reply All or Forward | More
