Hi Frans, I am headed to Las Vegas this weekend for a special occasion. The Nevada SPCA has invited me to participate in a Celebrity Poker Tourney to help with their diminishing funds meant to benefit unwanted, abused, neglected and abandoned animals. As an Honorary board member I am asking for your help. Las Vegas is my home town, I still have strong ties there and am very connected to that community. If there is anything I can do for these animalsI am willing to help. So, asking me for help means I turn to you, the people, my supporters my Frans for two decades... I turn to you to become a willing army to help raise what money and Awareness you are able too. This is how you can help me help my hometown animals: NEED: 1) POKER TIPS! The better I do, the more money the animals get. 2) Spread the content of this post. Awareness is everything!!! It helps with dog adoptions which then lowers the kill population at any given facility. Too many precious animals with nothing wrong with them are surrendered, never adopted, then euthanized. All animals are deserving of another home and chance at love and care. 3) donate to this facility specifically. The Nevada SPCA as they are particularly low on funds, staff, food, medical pros.. Etc. We dont want their doors to be closed. Do what you can! No donation is too small. 4) come play poker! Buy in and play with other experts, celebrities and not so expert celebrities like me! Lol. Mainly, just do what you can to keep in mind all the unwanted and neglected pets out there. Before you, your friend, or relative buys from a breeder or store... Go to a pound first. Finally, Please bring a pet into your life responsibly. Remember although they make cute little presents at the holidays, they actually require a lot from their human family. They depend on you to play with them, love them, spend money on them at the vet for shots and preventable diseases, require medical prescriptions Later in their life and need exercise to stay healthy and stimulated. All of which leads to an amazing mutually fulfilling bond between human and pet. Thanks for your time and patience as I get a little preachy there at the end. I am just so passionate about this and want the very best for our four legged friends. With love and gratitude, Charisma
