Hi Friends, My husband Bruce has been invited to a conference in Kutaisi, Georgia (the country) to present a paper and to run a workshop on the state of the field in United States history programs in October, 2014. This is his 2nd invited talk and I am super proud of him. The conference organizers are generously paying for meals and lodging, but airfare is not included! He has created a GoFundMe page at gofundme/axfp78. What is GoFundMe? GoFundMe is a personal fundraising website that has helped thousands of people raise millions of dollars for the things that matter to them most. As many of you know, Bruce is not currently a full-time faculty member and has no professional development fund from which to draw, so we could really, really use your help! Any amount--no matter how small--would really make a big difference and help offset the cost of travel for us greatly! If there is any excess, it will be used to help offset costs for another unfunded presentation he will have after the New Year.
