Hi Guys, I work for the United Way, a non-profit that works with schools and I am the volunteer coordinator. I also arrange donations. One of our schools, Lincoln Elementary, really needs donated items for their school Lincoln Loot Store, Each month students earn Lincoln Loot bucks by turning in homework, doing well on tests, having good attendance and helping the teacher or their fellow students. At the end of each month, each class gets 30 minutes to visit the loot store over 3 days and students are able to spend the money they have earned on school supplies, hygiene items, clothing, snacks and food items and of course, toys and games. We rely on the community to provide generous donations to keep our store stocked and as the school year nears its end, we are running low on supplies. Below is a list of suggested items that we need. Toys and Games (Grade level K-6 and Gender Specific Toys are best) ACTION FIGURES/DOLLS (pop culture items are extremely popular and could also include branded items in any category: Super hero kites, One Direction Pencil Box, character shampoo, etc.) GAMES for kids (Farkle, Chutes and Ladders, Jr. Edition games-Monopoly, Clue, etc.) PUZZLES SIDEWALK CHALK KITES School Supplies Pencil Boxes Hi-Liters Markers Crayons Hygiene Items Hand Lotion Deodorant Shampoo Soap Hairbrushes/Combs Food items Non-perishable snacks and food items like fruit snacks, crackers, juice boxes, cereal, soup, etc. Items need to be new or very gently used and unopened (as applicable). If you have any items youd like to donate, or if you have the ability to gather items from co-workers, family and friends, please let me know. We need items by April 20, so we still have about 3 weeks. Thanks.
