Hi Guys, finally i managed to upload a revised 1 minute version of Pedana Kalamkari documentary, that got me the prize at Moving Art film fest organised by Craft Council of India at Russian Cultural Centre as part of their 50th year celebration. This film is a quick overview of the process in which Kalamkari Sarees are made at a village called Pedana, close to Machilipatinam in South India. The full documentary is in the process of making and with that film we are hoping to start our Saree Stories of India series in the intention of creating a better understanding of the hidden colours and life of rural India and hence preserve it. In a way, covering the whole India with Saree. :) Hearty thanks to bluelilys for financing this venture. Special thanks to all the Kalamkari Artists from Pedana and all my good friends who supported this project especially Bejoy Thomas, Moses Samuel.
