Hi Guys, here is a thought. Absolutely no offense intended but these large scale protest actions accomplish ziltch pretty much. The anti South African rugby protests did not succeed because of mass marches up the street, they succeeded because of non violent direct action. The protesters invaded rugby fields and they even blocked the highway into Wellington to stop the fans. They took risks and many were beaten and dragged through court but they stayed strong to their beliefs and won out. We are not going to get anywhere without paying a price. I think we need to look at different ways to use our very limited resources. One suggestion is to take legal action through the courts to serve an injunction on the TPPA process as it breaches many of our basic human rights. There is a lawyer investigating this now and will tell us if it is worth a try very soon. We will need to pay this lawyer and also for legal advice and guidance from a specialist law firm on this topic. This is going to cost some money but if it has a good chance of success then well worth it. Who would support this action by making donations and or an auto payment for this direct action? We spend a lot of time and money getting these large easily ignored protests organized. For a donation we could stay home with our families and the lawyers can sort it out. There is 1,000s on this group, we could have the very best lawyers.
