Hi I have recently underwent a surgery 12 days back. The cannula - TopicsExpress

Hi I have recently underwent a surgery 12 days back. The cannula that was inserted initially in my right hand somehow got misplaced and caused severe pain when antibiotic was administered resulting in a very swollen arm. It was removed instantly. However, although the overall swelling has gone, that particular vein in which cannula was fixed is still hard and swollen and causing extreme discomfort and pain. Ive applied clofenak gel and also wrapped the area with wet towel soaked in hot water and salt. But its not helping. Im scared if its likely to get very serious to worry about. Any suggestion from the experts will be appreciated. Thanks.
