Hi, I havent been in this situation before, but here I am, hoping someone can help. Im a single mom of a 6 year old girl. We just moved to Port Orchard from San Diego in July (previously lived in Puyallup). I was inn a very bad car accident in January that crushed my ankle and put me on state disability. Ive since had two reconstructive surgeries and am now going through PT to learn to walk again. The company I was working for in CA approved me working from home and allowed me to move back to WA. Unfortunately they sold the company and went out of business while I was moving. Totally changed all of my plans, went through my savings finding a room for my daughter and I to rent. Im unable to get out of storage because I no longer have the $1000 moving fee for now. I am now on unemployment til I can figure out what to do. To go from making over 60 k a year, having my own place etc to having nothing and not knowing what Im going to do for the future is shocking and stressful to say the least. Anyway, Im hoping people can help us with a couple things: a very very cheap laptop so I can develop a resume, do job searches, etc. My ankle prohibits a lot of other alternatives for now. Also, winter clothes, coat and boots for my daughter. She wears a size 10/12 girls clothes and size 1 in boots. Anything anyone can do to help would be amazing. In the meantime if anyone knows of a part time (9-3) desk job (I can longer stand on my feet) I would really appreciate it. Ive worked in mortgage, life insurance, owned my own retail store, and most recently was top sales person at a weight loss and health company. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
