Hi My name is Yolanda and my eldest son (almost 5) has been 90% diagnosed with ADHD. We live in South Africa and I have no Idea if there are any support groups here so I am hoping that someone on your site will be from SA. This has been a rough year for us and he is at the point now that he is hurting himself (biting: scratching: kicking against things) and his brother (19 months) and I dont know what to do anymore. He has been referred to the Pediatrician to confirm what the Occupational Therapist has said, but my question is, will things get better? Will he be normal to a degree that people wont know that he has ADHD and will he be shunned because of it? I dont know if this is the right message to send but I need help and I need support as my family are not the best st that. Thank you
