Hi OCSA! I apologize in advance for the lengthy post but read all of it because its time to get PUMPED for Winter Congress!!! Winter Congress debates are on topics you write Bills on. (See bill writing guide attached). As someone who has sponsored a bill at Winter Congress and served as a clerk, its definitely a great way to get involved and an extremely rewarding experience. The bills that pass through the whole convention are taken by our activism branch to be sponsored by actual real life politicians! Fun fact: Some legislation written by a CA JSA student influenced the passage of the 26th amendment (the thing that lowered the voting age to 18)!
