You know, A mans own folly wrecks his life and then he bears a grudge against Jehovah or It is a mans own foolishness that distorts his way, And his heart becomes enraged against Jehovah. In fact, wouldnt you say 1Timothy:6 was describing me to a T this morning. I am who and what I am. Success eludes me or perhaps is divinely withheld from me due to the things Ive done which have had lifelong consequences for others who were harmed. So you see reading the Bible as we all should, is not the source of empowerment it proves to be for you and millions of others. Yes, amid all the disappointments that come with not having your father in your lives, your peers, oftentimes mistaken as friends, have not been successful in influencing you to subscribe to a degenerate lifestyle. Thanks, I’m proud to address you both as Son! Here’s a few dollars for you to spend as ‘you’ decide. Solely from who you are, I want you to handle this $150.00 as you see fit. Hopefully, others will see maturity and sense in how you handle it but, most of all, at the end of how you’ve put the legal tender to use, may it prove to be a blessing from Daddy to you! In living life we may want/desire many things, which never come our way. Yield not to the anger, sorrow, dismay that usually accompanies “Life’s letdowns”. Keep a good attitude appreciating what you have and what you have accomplished! In time, life yields blessings. Blessings go unnoticed when our thoughts are negative. As in math, negative plus negative equals a lesser negative - for you’re heading down on the number line. Likewise, focussing on the negatives in our lives increases our negative events by decreasing the benefit of any positive events that present themselves. You both have completed 15 years outside the womb. In your hand is $150.00 representing a mere $10.00 per year. It’s more than what you might have gotten had this only been your 8th year completed. Had it come just $10.00 in a 365-day period, it wouldn’t go too far. Each year’s $10.00 losses buying power due to inflation, but cumulatively it’ll put a smile on your face. So there’s incentive to strive. Just because what you want doesn’t appear when you first ask, want or try to get it, don’t give up on your dreams. Time brings with it new opportunities, new ways of accomplishing goals, and new wants which often supercede and/or show our previous wants to be a waste. One note on “Saving”, when the interest received minus the taxes paid on said interest does not amount to more than the loss of buying power, due to inflation and/or bank fees, putting your legal tender in a “Savings” account will equate to throwing it away. Go, get permission first, enjoy your legal tender, manage it well and be happy at least for a time, knowing your deadbeat Dad, though impotent to do anything meaningful in your lives, still loves you, for all that’s worth.
