Hi Scrappy Chic fans, I wanted to post something on here quickly to clear up some confusion. There is a fundraiser on our calendar for Sat 10/4. It has been brought to our attention that there is some misinformation online about how our store handles fundraising events, and the status of this particular event. Scrappy Chic is happy to help with fundraisers - we love giving back whenever we can. When a fundraiser is scheduled, the store handles registrations for the event so we know who to expect. Organizers have up until 2 weeks before the event to encourage as many participants to sign up as they can. Whatever is left over then becomes open for regular croppers to reserve (those not participating in the event), as well as anyone else joining the event, until all seats are sold out. Scrappy Chic does not cancel fundraisers - this is at the discretion of the organizer. In the instance of the fundraiser coming up on the 4th, we were asked to change our policy on how we handle events. We believe we came up with a good compromise, and we were expecting payment and participant information prior to the 2-week deadline. Unfortunately, as of today, our staff has not received payment or information for any of the participants. We will continue to leave the event on the calendar, as St. Jude told us they also show the event as a go. Again, Scrappy Chic does not cancel these types of events unless were told by the coordinator to do so (usually due to low turnout or unforeseen circumstances on their part). As a business owner, I occasionally hear (or see) information about our store that simply isnt factual. I apologize if any of our customers are frustrated as a result of the confusion about this event. Were happy to have you all cropping at the store, whether its with the event or otherwise.
