From the AUP Advancement Office The past few days, reports have been circulating in social network sites that some University Board leaders and administrators were about to be arrested, or even arrested already. It is very clear that the purpose behind these posts is to embarrass the Adventist Church and AUP. The spate of recent cases filed against AUP is still related to the questionable land deals initiated during the past University administration. Since 2012, nine complaints against AUP and its leaders were filed in the courts, six of which have already been dismissed. AUP is facing three remaining cases, and the threat of additional ones. In the mediation stage of the cases filed, the complainants always express that they will drop all their charges if AUP will just continue with the questionable land development deals. The University wants to assure its alumni and supporters all over the world, that no University Board leaders and Administrators have been arrested. They continue to fulfil their daily functions and activities. They will not waiver in their resolve to protect the property and the integrity of the University. Adventist University of the Philippines asks everyone to continue praying for our University leaders as they go through the legal processes of resolving the complaints.
