Hi. Thank you for adding me. I am an amateur/wannabe master (in my dreams anyway!) The genealogy bug has grabbed me hook, line and sinker! My biggest hurdle is TIME – I don’t have any. If I did, I would probably do nothing else. My next biggest hurdle is that I become too easily side-tracked. The few times I do sit down to do some on-line dabbling, one thing leads to another and I end up working on several families all at once. Anyway, I’ve been bookmarking a lot of sites as well as joining FB groups in anticipation of one day finding a chunk of time to allow me to finally pursue this passion. I am a descendant of Pierre/Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre. My paternal grandmother migrated from East Broughton/Beauce/Beaurivage Quebec to Maine. (Google Translator is my friend!) Both my dad and I were born in Lewiston, Maine. We have family in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire, to name a few. Family names include: Lefebvre/Lefebre/Lefevre/Bean (American)/Fecteau/Grenier/Ferland/Blouin/Pomerleau/Labbe/Lafontaine/Dube/Gregoire/Boulanger/Verneuil/Arcular/Coin/Gautron/Larochelle/Foubert/Bissonnette/Dallon/Marceau/Bolper/Le Chef/Bolper/Marceau/Dumas/Rollin/Foy/DeFoy/Blanchard/Parent/Coudray/Badeau/Ardouin/Chevalier/Lucre/Langlois/Vauverin/Chasteigny/Leonelle/Creste/Legrand/Gaulin/Bonnemer/Thivierge/Cloutier I am particularly interested in locating additional information pertaining to my dad’s half-sister and brother, both of whom died during infancy/toddler years. Following is the information I have thus far. If anyone is able to further assist me, I will be so very appreciative! (Does anyone know where I can find on-line Sacré-Coeur-de-Jésus, East Broughton QC cemetery records? I would love to obtain gravesite photos!) Marie Antoinette Simone Turmel. DOB: 8/13/17; Baptism: 8/15/17, St Maurice Parish, Thetford Mines, Megantic, Quebec; DOD: 10/4/20 (Spanish Plague?); Burial: 10/5/20, Sacré-Coeur-de-Jésus, East Broughton, Beauce, Quebec. Parents: Alexina(s) Lefebvre (Lefevre), DOB 4/3/1898 and Alfred (Fredy)Turmel, DOB 4/?/1894, m. 7/17/16. (Alfred worked/died in the Thetford Mines. Following Alfred’s death, Alexina went to the U.S. to find employment. She left Marie Antoinette Simone in the care of Alfred’s parents (her daughter’s Godparents): Georges Turmel and Adele Ferland. Adolph J. Lefebvre. DOB: 11/6/24, East Broughton, Beauce, Quebec. DOD: 11/25/24, East Broughton. Burial: 11/26/24, Sacré-Coeur-de-Jésus parish, East Broughton. If I were to subscribe to a paid Genealogy site, which do you most-highly recommend?
