Hi. Well, as a break from packing our kit in preparation for our return trip home tomorrow, we took a break and ventured into Kathmandu Durbar Monasteries district. It was wall to wall monasteries that seemed to span the ages. The area was chaotic with street sellers vying for your attention, and local people milling about. The monasteries were intricately carved and beautiful in design but we couldnt help think that they could be so much better kept and used to help this city financially. We headed back to Thamel, an area we know and feel comfortable in, by Rickshaw. Eight minutes of adrenaline fuelled madness! Our driver negotiated cars, motorbikes and people by a hairs breadth, with true skill, and a little luck! What a ride! So looking forward to coming home. It will be a time for family and friends and to reflect on such an amazing trip...
