Hi Zane, please keep me anonymous.I was injured at work and had back surgery five years ago.I am unable to work and temp disability.I am currently waiting on my appeal for permanent SSD.I am struggling financially, one income is not enough to raise three kids on and stay up to date on bills.My husband doesnt make enough.I have started a naidwfundme and want to share on fb but I am ashamed and feel as though I am begging.I have helped friends in the past but I dont feel I can ask for the help.I guess its my pride.Please help, should I or not? MY RESPONSE: That is a personal decision but those sites have become extremely popular. I am not sure of the rate of success but only you can decide if you want to put your personal business out there like that. Instead, why dont you call up some of the friends you have helped in the past and ask them for help. But keep in mind that most people are struggling in this economy and they may not be able to help financially. Maybe they can help in other ways though or may have resources or ideas for you. It does not seem like you are comfortable with the concept of putting it on Facebook and you know your friends and relatives better than anyone. In some cases, they can show much compassion and concern and others will use it as an excuse to talk down about you. I hope that your appeal turns out in your favor. If there are any bills you can eliminate such as cable or cell phones, you need to consider doing that. I will keep you in my prayers.
