Hi all. I have been fortunate enough to inherit 2 Triumphs owned - TopicsExpress

Hi all. I have been fortunate enough to inherit 2 Triumphs owned by my uncle. They are a 1955 Trophy TR5 and a 1970 T120RT. In addition to the bikes I was also handed a large box of papers which include personal notes about the bikes (any service work done or modifications), receipts, telegraphs and a number of original manuals and parts books. They were both ridden, the 55 has a few battle scars from several trips to Baja but the 70 looks pretty clean and the odometer says 40K. Im under the impression the bikes havent been started in about 5 years. My uncle was bed ridden for quite some time and the license tags are several years old. They both need to be rebuilt but this will be done with a lot of care and consideration for a minimalist approach. So now its up to me to get these things moving again with a goal of getting them into a show, Im giving myself 2 years. My experience with motorcycle builds.. none. My work on bikes is pretty minimal but Im pretty mechanically inclined. I will however have a lot of help so Im not concerned, really more excited about the journey and what Ill learn. Since these are my first Triumphs Im looking for help finding great Triumph forums. I also need a couple sites where I might find parts. Any help would be appreciated. I will post more photos as I move through the process of the builds. Im also planning on documenting the builds though photography and write ups so they can become part of the bikes histories. Thanks all - Eric
