Hi all! I hope you will find a few moments to think about a heart-felt suggestion I have, which Im willing to discuss of course. Id love to see the UMSS adopt vegetarianism (possibly veganism at a later stage) as a principle to support, during our events for instance. Even if individual members do not conform to it in their everyday life, I think we could all agree that in general it is a preferable direction for our society to follow, just like secularism. The argument, as you all know, can be stated simply as: - virtually all animal products we consume come from industrial farms - industrial farming (but not only) techniques cause much suffering to animals - a plant-based diet can be at least as palatable as an omnivorous one, and typically healthier as well - therefore...
