Hi all, Ive got another payment query I need some advice on. I have recently designed a set for an opera company who were very difficult with my budget - they clearly didnt want to give me my budget up front and wanted me to spend my own money and be reimbursed. I obviously didnt want to do this and after much negotiation almost all of my budget was given to me. However we had a wood based emergency on a Sunday morning and I was forced to spend £200 of my own money. I was promised that I would be paid back by the next day. This was 4 weeks ago and needless to say I still havent been paid back despite constant reminders. The production has now been and gone and the producer has stopped replying to my texts and calls. Any suggestions? I obviously normally know better than to spend my own money on a production when Im not certain of the producer but wickes messing up our wood delivery really forced my hand. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks very much.
