Hi all, Please Help In September I will be taking part in a 10,000 Feet Tandem Skydive to help raise money for Teddy20. Teddy20 is an organisation supporting Bone Cancer Research, CLIC Sargent, Piam Brown Ward and Kingfisher Ward in memory of Ted Newton (1999-2010). Ted was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in March 2009 when he was nine and after intensive chemotherapy at Southampton General Hospital underwent surgery in July to remove a tumour the size of a rugby ball on one of his ribs. He then had to follow an intensive regime of chemotherapy and isolation, but early in 2010 his parents received the news that the tumour had returned behind his heart, and it was too dangerous to operate. Ted sadly passed away a short time after. This particular event is in aid of the Piam Brown Ward (Children’s Oncology, Southampton Hospital) and Kingfisher Ward (Dorchester General Hospital) Christmas Present’s promise. Once the cash is all in members will help do the Toys R Us run followed by delivering to the wards. Believe me this is an eye opener and tear jerker.
