Hi all, We have received a interpreter positions. The outline of the contract are as follows RATES · $40 per hour for Spanish · $60 per hour for all other languages including Nepali · All assignments have a two-hour minimum CONDITIONS · Mileage, parking and travel expenses are not covered under the SSA ODAR contract · Because Interpreters must cover these expenses, we will only assign you to the regional hearing office closest to your residence · As a note, non-reimbursed travel expenses are tax deductible for freelancers · Cancellations of hearings received with more than 48 hours’ notice will not be compensated · Cancellations received within the 48 hours’ window will be compensated at a flat rate of $50, regardless of the language and number of scheduled hours ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS The requirements of the contract state that interpreters must be a United States citizen or hold a green card. Unless you have an active clearance through another assignment with CETRA, other language service provider, or directly with a Federal agency, you would also be required to undergo a low level, background investigation for this non-sensitive position.
