Hi all, We thought we would inform members of some exciting news which will be happening before Christmas time. As of this week, we are working next door to begin expanding our box by 90sqm. This space is coming from the back of the next shed through our current lounge area. This area will be allocated to some very specific areas of training. At times, our coaches have Personal Coaching sessions during class times, this will now be moved to the new area which will free up more space on our current main floor area while classes are on. One on-One Fundamental sessions will also be ran in there. Along with that, we are opening up the area for the following uses during class times; bearing in mind this needs to be a Barbell- Free Zone. We see an increased need and use for our members to have a specific mobility area which they can use while we run our classes on the main floor. We want people to spend proper time practicing their gymnastics skills, rehab work, proper stretching and mobility. We are erecting a small pull up bar, space for handstand practice, and some extra floor space. Another exciting addition is some more equipment to help members use this new area properly: 30 Ab Mats 30 Yoga Foam Rollers Skipping ropes Resistance Bands And more weights for our main training area 30 x 5kg bumper plates 30 x 2.5kg bumper plates The best part..... Adding Crossover symmetry: Crossover Symmetry is a medically designed rotator cuff and scapular strengthening system engineered to enhance shoulder health and performance. Crossover Symmetry was founded in 2006 by a professional baseball player and a physical therapist with the goal to provide a practical, structured, and efficient shoulder strengthening system for athletes. This is going to be wonderful for our members! We will be quite busy leading up to Christmas, so we please bare with us while we are heads down, bums up to get this completed before Christmas time. We hope members are excited and happy to be having their box grow to add some more value into their current training. Regards, Chris & Corrine Chalmers & all our staff here at CrossFit Geelong.
