Hi all, a copy of the email I have just sent. Hi - TopicsExpress

Hi all, a copy of the email I have just sent. Hi everyone, Great to see soem of you last night and thanks to the people for letting me know that you had difficulties getting there, looking for to seeing next week. Just to recap what went on last night. Some of you managed to complete the 2 week project and had a great way of showing your work in your own ways, which is what the project was about, so well done. Thanks to: Mark, great images show the park and its surroundings from the selection you made and the end montage was out together very well which encapsulated everything about the location in just a few images, well done, be good to more from you soon. Nigel, another great selection of images from you shown in your own way, which illustrated you going out on a location shoot, loved the added, popping the colour to show creativity and planning from a viewers prospective. Debbie, I am sure that everyone last night loved your images, telling a story and showing the atmosphere of the City Centre in full flood of people and supporters while there was a Rugby game on. You managed show that Cardiff was and still is a fantastic place to be. Your image of the reflection in the Wales Team Coach window, was excellent, as everyone said last night, and as mentioned before to everyone, its all about being in the right place at the right time and always having a camera with you, well done and we are looking forward to seeing more next week. Fiona, thanks for taking the time to show your work from your face book account, you are showing that you are out there with your camera trying different things help push your creativity, even though you are nearly setting fire to yourself and others around you:) it would be nice to see more of your images next week relating to the project as mentioned last night. Continuing on the Project for next week, this is what we are trying to produce: 1 photo of one Landscape, i.e., 1 x Urban landscape, 1 x Seascape, 1 x Rural Landscape. This can be up to 10 Landscape Images of different places and themes which can be your own creation. This is a little like the last project, however, the small difference is that, it will show that you have thought about different Landscapes and have visited these place to realise the beauty of each location, whether you visited that place many years ago or recently with friends and as mentioned above (you had your camera with you) to capture that moment of beauty at that location. For further ideas, you can also include, objects like, flowers, lakes, running water, textures, tress, car parks are a great place to visit in the evenings when the car park lights are lit capturing the glare of the lights giving lots of lens flare, think about visiting the busy streets of the City Centre when it isnt busy these also make some nice images. So there is a few ideas for next week and I am sure you will manage to get some stunning images again, this is certainly pushing everyone to take more photographs or even look at your older photos in a different way. Everyone is producing great images in their own way and from a viewers prospective they are very interesting. As Matthew mentioned last, there is the Whitchurch Festival approach this Summer and it may be a great idea if we could all produce a body of work that can show either your best images to date or a theme that you would like to show, we can talk more about this another time. I am thinking of using the monies collected to help pay for the prints from DS Colour Labs, who I use for my work, they are very professional, very competitive and quick in their service of delivery. Also, we were all talking about organising a trip to the Flat Holme or Steep holme, using the boat service down the Bay, Fiona, would you be so kind to enquire the prices and timings for a trip for the Camera Club, also the amount of people we would have room for on one boast trip and best time to visit. Paul, as mentioned last night would you be able to do the same for Skomer Island please. Again, it could be a good idea to use some of the monies in the Whitchurch Camera Club pool of money to pay for some of these costs. I have been mentioning Time-lapse for a few weeks now, and this is another amazing place to be when it comes to different genres in photography along with Night Photography. I have done some of my own Time-lapse, and will attempt to bring some short videos along next week to show some ideas, this then I would like to talk about to help people produce some project work using this technique. Night time photography is another style used to capture Landscapes and many other subjects at times of the day that people dont see normally. And I am sure we could put together some ideas of places to visit late one evening to capture the sky or paint with light using long exposures (Fiona, you can borrow one of my cameras to help with longer exposure times if you wish) Good luck, any questions please let me know. See you next week.
