Hi all, posting as a deacon on facebook. When I was a kid, Im not sure why,but we did not all eat at a communal table at night, for the most part. We did for special occasions. When I had a family of my own we made it a point to do just that. In my humble opinion the table is the glue that binds us. As a woodworker I made an eight foot table, far bigger than we need. But what it represents is a willingness and a want to share what we have our food, thoughts an ear and a laugh. I love the communal table of our faith for the welcome it represents. Peace.
