Hi all, this week Andy and I have started on some major catching up on delayed maintenance, and some changes we have been wanting to make for what seems like forever and some remodeling efforts that we never quite got finished. This includes totally remodeling both of our baths, a back splash in the kitchen, and updating most of our closets. The original builder put in the strangest closets made of the flimsiest material. We have hated them and decided now is the time for a redo. I have moved about twelve times in my life and this is the worst mess my house has ever been in. We do still have one bath, a bed and a working kitchen, but that is only because the second bath has not yet been demolished, including toilets and tubs, and work has not begun in the kitchen. Almost all horizontal surfaces are storing items from the closets. We are painting most of the rooms and a few other small jobs. We will have to move out when the bathrooms are totally unusable, and I think by then I will be glad to go. The good news is that Andy is up to doing all this of course he is not doing anything except advising, the even better news is that he is working his full shift at ACE. Our construction crew is really wonderful. Pete Hardmann the general contractor is so nice and considerate it is almost a pleasant experience. A few prayers for me would be nice.
