Hi everybody, I have just finished my race in South Garda in Italy at the Rok International Finals. I did not have good pace as I only had one day of practice compared to the other drivers. The numbers this year for my category in Mini Rok was 105 drivers! I qualified in 80th position which was quite disappointing. In the first of the three heats I finished in 16th position out of 24 drivers after starting from 20th position and was on course to qualify for the pre finals. In heat two, I was hit by a driver in the first corner and that caused me to move down the field and only finish in 22nd position. In heat three, there was a huge crash in the first corner and I could not avoid it. This caused me to finish in only 20th position. As a result of this I could not qualify for the pre finals. Despite the result, I still learnt a lot from this experience as I improved my racing skills. Thank you to Uncle Roland for the support for this race and my family. I hope to bring this experience to my next race in the last round of the Singapore Karting Championship in November.
