Hi everybody, well I said Ill let you know how Barb and I have lost so much weight in a short amount of time. Weve been stopped by so many people every where. Asking our secret? Its not a pill or weird liquid to drink. Between Barb and I weve lost 100 lbs. The #1 thing you must do is to find that one thing that youve been successful at. Ours was quitting smoking. Using that same determination was the driving force behind our weight loss and a helping partner to stay on track. After 140 days Ive lost 47 lbs. Im almost there. The last 5 lbs is taking longer and slower and thats OK. First step you set a goal. I was at 252 and figured a base 200 lbs would be great. Tools for weight loss. I use a free calories guild apt called myfitnesspal. The second is call Fitbit it monitors your steps ,calories burned,miles,sleep,water intake etc. My average steps are over 10,000 over 5 miles a day. My calorie count started at 2500 a day,then lowered to 2000 then to 1840. Stick to the daily calorie count. Exercise is never counted in your calories thats where the weight loss comes in. For example: your at 2000 calories and you walk 5 miles and it gives you an extra 800 calories totaling up to 2800 calories.Just dont use that 800 calories . Thats were you loss your weight. The secret is out :) Next calculate your calories. There is so much crap out there. Eating at home is the best way to loss weight. You are your best teacher. OK you have 2000 calories for a 24 hrs period. You can eat anything but you can only have 2000 calories. I found 1 soda has 120 to 160 calories.Or you can have favored water at 0, bread thin at 100,laughing cow cheese spread 35,lettuce,tomato,2 slice of chicken luncheon meat for 30 calories. For a total 165. Almost lunch for a can of soda. I always have my coffee in the morning,ice cream and popcorn every day. Those are my rewards each day. Typical day breakfast 350 calories, lunch 400 calories,dinner 650 =1400, and I have 600 calories for evening snacks. The 600 calories are my reward for sticking to the program. If you go out just watch the amount you eat and Barb always checks before ordering the calorie count. I hope this has help you out there. Its worked for us. Remember to watch what you put in your body. Im no longer so tired coming home from work,aches and pains have gone away,no more acid reflux problem,just feel so much better. Going from a size 40 to a size 34 in pants. Makes a big difference. ED
