Hi everyone - Day 26. Today was another really good day! When we got there Kristophers eyes were both open. This is something that hasnt happened often so we were excited immediately. The nurse came in and told us he is following commands. Not consistently but he responded. The best part is he did it when the nurse from Helen Hayes was in there also. His temperature is completely gone. He has been off the ventilator all day -- 12 hours so far. They dont plan on putting him back on unless he looks like he is struggling. Shortly before we left Jordan was talking to him in his loud authoritative voice. He told Kristopher to give him a thumbs up....he did - twice. He told him to move his toes.....he did!!! Jordan didnt even have to pinch him or yank on his beard! After such a great day Jordan talked me into leaving early because I am so tired. I have a feeling it will be a really good weekend! 💖
