Hi everyone, Have been a watch enthusiast for > 2 decades. Ive just joined this forum a few months back and have only been a lurker until today. This is my first introductory post. About 1/3 of my collection is Grand Seiko and regular Seikos. Currently have 7 GS and a dozen regular Seikos both vintage, regular and Limited Editions. Other than GS, the other watches in my small collection are mostly JLC, GO, Nomos, Damasko, IWC as I generally prefer watches with in-house manufacture calibers. In 90s I used to collect mostly TAGs, Omegas & Rolexes but all sold except a vintage Heuer Bund and a few Ltd Ed & vintage Omegas. You can view the reviews of some of my watches in Malaysia Watch Forum (MWF) where I am one of the moderators. My nick there is JOS2012. In 2013 I visited the GS Spring Drive and Credor plant in Shiojiri, Nagano as well as the Seiko Museum in Tokyo. Will post up the pictures here when I find them. Ive written a report on my visit in MWF. Ive just got back from this years visit to the other mechanical GS and Seiko quartz plant at Morioka, Shizuku-ishi, Iwate. Had the opportunity to order the Shizuku-ishi Build-To-Order special edition which will take about 2-3 months to be delivered. Was very lucky to also bump into the Hand of God Grand Seiko watch timing specialist Akira Oohira in Tokyo and had a picture taken with him.
