Hi everyone. Hope your weekend going okay so far. Yesterday I refereed a match in the West of Scotland Amateur League at Shettleston in Glasgow. The game finished in a 4-4 draw between Crown Park and Antonine. Was a decent match from two teams in the Premier Division of the West. The pitch at Greenhill Sport Centre held up well considering there had been a bit of rain the past few days! Makes you wonder why the grass pitch here in Lochgilphead, the Ropework Park, has so much money spent on it annually by the Council yet games are still being postponed there due to a waterlogged pitch, like last week. The sooner the Council upgrade the Astro 2G to a 3G the better for everyone. I got a few more signatures for the Petition today at Fernoch and Jubilee Terrace in the town. This brings the total to 900 now. Good going I would say. I will be busy at work this week as I have to do a couple of extra shifts to return a favour but I should be able to collect Petition Forms from the pubs on Wednesday the 13th. Wont be long before the Petition will be handed in to the Council, definitely before the end of November. Will send you all an update on Wednesday. Until then, take care. Peter
