Hi everyone I am making this status post and pinning it to this group so it always appears at the top. Please note the dates of our ministries, mark them in your calendar and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE inform me ahead of time if you are going to be coming out. I have to arrange rides, make sure that logistics are taken care of, plan for meals when needed, and make arrangements for ministry activities. This is especially true for Prison Visits. I have to follow all the Federal Prison Visit regulations, ensure that security clearances have been granted, and communicate to the prison authorities the name of those that would be going at least 2 to 3 business days before the actual visit. Moreover, people look forward to our visits and ministry and they count on us to keep our word. Dedication, promise keeping, and disciplined consistencies are all essential trademarks of those who serve. It will be really nice if you can comment and tell me which ministry you plan to be a regular of, and which prison ministry visit you plan to be at. I love serving you to give you as many opportunities to exercise and share your faith and grow personally. I am willing to put in the time and effort to make things happen but it would sure be nice if you could help me make my job easier. I really do not enjoy having to chase people down because not enough people are going out to a ministry event that we have committed to. Here are the dates of the ministries starting October 1st, 2014. Briarlea Elder Care Home: Every Friday afternoon. Meet in the Great Hall (Murray Hall) at 1:30 pm, depart at 1:45 pm. We also serve Communion on the last Friday of every month. Harvest House: Every Tuesday evening. Meet in the Commons in Stultz Hall outside the Student Welcome Center at 6:15 pm, depart 6:30 pm. Ministry dates for Prison Ministry and Teen Challenge has now been finalized!! Here they are: Dorchester Minimum Security (formerly Westmoreland Correctional): Chapel days for Westmoreland has also changed. They are now held on Thursday evenings. We are booked for Oct 30th, and Nov 27th. Their chapel begins at 7:00 pm. We need to be there by 6:30 pm at the latest to clear security, since it takes 30 to 45 minutes to get there, we will meet in the Commons in Stultz Hall at 5:15 pm and leave no later than 5:30 pm. Dorchester Penitentiary - Medium Security: Their chapel events day has been changed to Tuesdays. We are currently booked for October 21st, and Nov 25th. Their chapel begins at 5:30 pm. We need to be there by 5:00 pm at the latest to clear security, since it takes 30 to 45 minutes to get there, we will meet in the Commons in Stultz Hall at 4:00 pm and leave no later than 4:15pm. Atlantic Institute (Renous) - Super Max: Chapel at Renous remains on Sunday but times have changed. We are currently booked for Oct 26th, and Nov 23rd. We will be doing their 2 pm and 6:30 pm Chapels. We need to arrive at 1:30 at the latest to clear security, since it takes 1 hr 40 minutes to get there, we will meet in the Commons in Stultz at 11:30 and leave no later than 11:45pm. Teen Challenge: Teen Challenge began on Saturday 27th of September and we will be going out to Memremcook every other Saturday. Currently the dates are: Oct 11th, Oct 25th, Nov 8th, Nov 22nd, and Dec 6th. We meet in the Great Hall in the Murray building at 1:00 pm, leave at 1:15 pm.
