Hi everyone! I am new to this group. Thank you for the add. Here is my story: Im newly diagnosed with Epstein Barr and Cytomegalovirus. I am not sure if my test indicate a past infection, acute infection, chronic or reactivated infection. My doc was very nonchalant about it and I have been feeling like crap for almost 2 months. I have never known such overwhelming fatigue and pain. My migraines and IBS have been flaring up more and I had a ring-worm yeast infection that became systemic and I had to be on oral diflucan for 6 weeks. This is affecting both my personal and work relationships as I dont actually look physically sick. Please tell me this gets better and thanks for letting me vent. My test results: CMV IGG 10 (high, test only goes this high so could be higher) CMV IGM < 0.1 (negative) EBV IGM negative EBV IGG >750 (high, test only goes this high so could be higher) EBV Anti-EBV Early Antigen negative EBNA >600 (high, test only goes this high so could be higher) Any idea what all this means, I was so shocked at the time of my doctor visit that I didnt know what to ask. He indicated that I had an acute infection but could be easily fixed...said he was going to give me a series of B12 shots. I am already on Valcyclovir (for at least 20 years). I see my doc again in 3 weeks. Also I have never had mono that I know of.
