Hi everyone. I hope this is ok to share. Im sure maternity services in Shropshire is quite close to most peoples heart, as at some point we or somebody we know rely on midwives and maternity services. I work at Bridgnorth Maternity and were a small midwifery led unit providing care to women antenatally in labour and postnatally. We are all very passionate about what we do and want to provide the best care we can. Our unit is more of a home from home environment rather than a hospital. As you probably know funds are short in the NHS and we are unable to provide a birthing pool for our ladies therefore we are raising the funds ourselves. Water is one of the best ways to provide pain relief and normality in birth and feel to provide this option is almost essential. All the midwives have given up their own time to run galas, stalls and raffles but were way off our target. If anyone can donate to our just giving page however small would be extremely valued.
