Hi everyone. Last night on channel 10 news, there was a another fear mongering story about the PALEO WAY of life. The Heart Foundation has now jumped in to put their case forward. Please watch the story here... tenplay.au/news/national/2014/9/26/paleo-problems I have included 2 photos here which illustrates what The Heart Foundation considers dangerous and what they consider safe. The type of meals that anyone following the Paleo Way of life cooks for themselves and their children is a moderated amount of protein from animals from land and see that have had a natural diet, a substantial amount of vegetables (raw, cooked or fermented), nuts, seeds and eggs if tolerated as well as enough natural dietary fat to satiate in the form of avocados, coconuts, nuts, seeds and animal fats from land and or sea that has come from animals that have had a diet they are evolved to eat. My team and I chose to shoot this recipe to demonstrate that this type of food is real, unprocessed and utterly delicious and as you can see we have the following on the board. Fermented vegetables (a staple in every paleo lifestyle that promotes good gut bacteria) Nuts (pine nuts in this recipe) Fats in the form of a dressing (this is a bacon vinaigrette made from lightly cooking bacon pieces and teaming it with extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, spices and chives). More fat in the way of avocados, as well as eggs. Protein in the form of some left over roast chicken and the eggs. a multitude of vegetables and fresh herbs (mother natures medicine) In the photo on the right, we have a container of 99% fat free mayonnaise, which gets the TICK of approval! I am wondering, how does someone get the Heart Foundation to put a TICK on their product? Is The Heart Foundation paid by multi national food corporations to have their TICK put onto their products or do they do it for voluntarily? I look forward to your comments and please share this recipe amongst your tribe as it is so yummy and a great one to mix together and pack for work or school lunches. Oh and thank you for everyone sending in their health professional recommendations, we have had over 1000 doctors, naturopaths, nurses, chiros, and more that support this way of life and I have personally received over 200 emails also from trained professionals whom I am asking to write their own stories and that of their patients success by adopting this way of life so stay tuned for some remarkable posts coming up in the near future. This aint to FAD!
