Hi everyone please be aware and share this... I received a phone call this afternoon from someone describing me my brother and calling him by name. Saying there had been a car accident and that he had given him my phone number. After stating that the man said, “we dont want police involved, your brother injured my son and he was taken away in the ambulance.” He said we have your brother and want $2,000 dollars to pay for the medical bills with no police involved because we are wanted. After that I hear somebody in the background screaming for help, “I’m going to kill your brother if I dont get my money.” The guy kept me on the phone for what seemed like an eternity. “If you speak to anyone or hang up I will kill him.” “Get to a Publix or CVS.” While all this was going on I had my lawyer that I work for helping me, listening in on the conversation. The lawyer called the police stating what was going on. They said that this is a scam and that to call her brother to check on him. Since I was on the phone and couldn’t speak I was writing all this down on paper as it was happening. The guy kept on threatening me; don’t talk to anyone, don’t text or put me on speaker. Every couple of seconds he would say hello and wait for my answer. It was very hard to put him on mute or spearker to try and get my brothers number, but finally I did. My lawyer called him to make sure that this wasn’t happening. Thank God my brother answered and said he was fine and well. As soon as I heard that I dropped my cell an ran over to speak to my brother. The man called my cell back about 10 times, but I never answered . Please share or tell someone about phone calls like this. Be informed people.
