Hi friends, As much as I sometimes hate on the overflow of info, noise, and speed of the internet, I am grateful to be able to use it for such a good cause right now. Although many of you do not know Alexa, Ian, Lou or West, I think her particular situation will strike a chord with you. I first met Alexa Wilding when I was 17 and playing in my band Stage. We were performing for her school and from the minute I met her, there was a connection. She went on to become my first real muse and guided me into becoming a real artist. If you are a fan of the Stage album, I assure you that Alexa has also touched your life (Yes, she is the Lex in Stages Lake Morrey Inn). To this day, I can say she popped my (artistic) cherry-- helping me find who I was in music. That is just an example of how magical and special she is as a person. Alexa is also a great musician and truly inspired individual who, like most of us, is facing the struggles of being a musician in the new uncertain industry landscape. She has continued to follow her muse and create from her heart, at the same time as becoming a mother of twin boys, Lou and West. When she found out her 1 year old son Lou had cancer earlier this year, she faced the challenge with typical optimism and courage. She has been a true teacher to so many-- giving a living example of what it means to be an artist, parent, and believer in Spirit under extremely challenging circumstances. If you know Alexa or her music, please consider supporting her and her family through this link below. If you dont know her, please remember that she is one of us-- an independent musician, artist, and free-thinker faced with a very large mountain to climb. If you arent a musician, then she is also one of us: a parent, a child, a girl, a human. It is moments like these that we have the opportunity to act as a community and support one of our fellow friends and artists in need. Sending all our love and healing thoughts to little Lou, and all our strength and courage to Alexa, Ian and West. All love, Ryan plumfund/pf/r40g5
